Music and Food for St. Patrick's Day!

Ben Connelly plays guitar Wednesday night, GrooveSpan comes in with light jazz Thursday night, Larry Tierney plays Irish music Sunday night!  The week leading up to St. Patrick's Day is full of fun at DiGiovanni's Dock of the Bay in Solomons!  Watch the video below and Cef and I will fill you in!!

Wednesday, March 13th, acoustic guitarist, Ben Connelly, will be performing ballads, pop favorites and his own originals.  Special:  Fresh pappardelle pasta topped with seared salmon.

Thursday, March 14th, Jazz Night with GrooveSpan.  Enjoy smooth, soft jazz souonds of Jennifer Cooper and Carl Reichelt.  Specials:  All You Can Eat Mussels and Chicken Cacciatore.

Sunday, March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, with Irishman Larry Tierney playing authentic Irish Pub Music.  Irish Specials:  Corn beef & cabbage, Hobo Stew, Irish Stew, potato & leek soup, soda bread (the regular dinner menu will be available also).

Since the forecast is calling for snow we thought we’d remind you of a classic drink to warm you up!

CLASSIC OLD FASHIONED

2 teaspoons simple syrup
1 teaspoon water
2 dashes bitters
1 cup ice cubes
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger bourbon whiskey
1 slice orange
1 maraschino cherry

Pour the simple syrup, water, and bitters into a whiskey glass. Stir, then place the ice cubes in the glass. Pour bourbon over the ice and garnish with the orange slice and maraschino cherry.

Italian Tapas Happy Hour March 8th!

On Friday, March 8th,  DiGiovanni's Dock of the Bay is having an Italian Tapas Happy Hour from 4pm -7pm.  Wine expert Dee Peters will be pouring happy hour-priced tastes or glasses of various Italian wines, and Chef Annamaria will prepare Italian themed tapas dishes at happy hour prices. Stacey Murdock will be behind the bar with Italian martinis, beers, or other libations at special prices.  Cef and I explain in more detail on this week's video!
